Ingredients/Components
- egg whites - 2 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- cream of tartar
- sifted sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- sugar - 3/4 c
How to make angel food cake:
Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tarter until soft peaks are formed. Fold in 1 1/4 cups sifted sugar and vanilla. Last add flour and 3/4 cup sugar, sifted together 3 times. Pour in pan and bake at 350°.Variation: For chocolate, take out 2 tablespoons flour and add 2 tablespoons cocoa.
