Ingredients/Components
- egg yolks - 6 item
- cold water - 6 Tbsp
- sugar - 1/2 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- egg whites - 6 item
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- cream of tartar - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make daffodil cake:
Beat egg yolks and add cold water and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat until thick and lemon colored. Fold in flour (1/2 cup) and baking powder. Add lemon flavoring. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until stiff. Add 1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup flour and vanilla. Pour over ingredients in tube pan. Bake 1 hour at 350°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Healthy.
