Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- celery seed - 1/2 tsp
- ham bone - 1 item
- dash of garlic salt - 1 item
- seasoning salt - 1/2 tsp
- soup beans - 1 lb
How to make amish bean soup:
Soak beans in water overnight; drain. Add fresh water and cook slowly with the ham bone for 2 hours. Add onion, celery salt, seasoning salt, garlic salt, salt and pepper. Remove ham bone; trim off any meat and return to pot. Add ham bits and simmer fRecipe categories: Soups & stews, Pork, Ham.
