How to make scripture cake:

Translation:1/2 c. butter1 c. sugar3 eggs, well beaten1 Tbsp. honey2 1/4 c. flour1 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. each: cinnamon and nutmeg a pinch of salt3/4 c. milk1 c. California raisins1 c. figs, chopped1/2 c. almonds, chopped In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Slowly stir in honey. Sift dry ingredients together. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to the creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Fold in chopped nuts, figs and raisins. Pour batter into 4 well-greased and floured 6 x 3-inch miniature loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
