  • Dijon mustard - 2 Tbsp
  • mayonnaise
  • salt and black pepper to taste - 1 item
  • yellow onion - 1 item
  • hard-cooked eggs, peeled and diced - 6 item
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste - 1 item
  • stalks celery, small dice - 3 item
  • red skinned potatoes about 8 average - 3 lb

How to make all american potato salad:

Day before, prepare the dressing. Combine the mayonnaise, onion, celery, mustard, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to develop.

In the morning, combine the potatoes in enough cold water to cover. Simmer until tender. Hard-cook the eggs. Drain and cool in cold water until easy to handle. Peel and dice the eggs. Place in salad bowl. Drain potatoes well, cool, peel and slice. Add them to the eggs. Add the dressing. If needed, add salt, pepper or more Worcestershire sauce. Makes 12 servings.
