Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- nuts, chopped - 1 c
- red food coloring - 2 oz
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- Add eggs and beat well
How to make red velvet cake:
Cream the sugar and oil. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour, salt and cocoa together; alternately add to creamed mixture with buttermilk. Add vanilla and coloring, then fold in soda.
