Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- salad oil - 3/4 c
- prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
- minced celery - 2 c
- celery seed - 2 tsp
- shredded cabbage - 1 lb
- carrots, shredded - 2 item
- medium onions, thinly sliced - 2 item
How to make 24 hour slaw:
Combine cabbage, celery, carrots and onion. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar. In a saucepan, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well and bring to a boil. Pour over salad. Do not stir. Cover tightly and chill. When ready to serve, stir well.Recipe categories: American, Salads, Southern u.s..
