Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt
- vinegar - 1 c
- salad oil - 1 c
- mustard - 1 tsp
- celery seed
- medium head cabbage - 1 item
- medium red onions - 2 item
How to make 24 hour coleslaw:
Dressing:1 tsp. celery seed1 tsp. sugar1 c. vinegar1 1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. mustard1 c. salad oil Slice cabbage, stir in sugar. Slice onions in rings. Place half of cabbage in bottom of bowl, cover with onions. Place remaining cabbage on top of onions. Set aside. Make dressing. Combine sugar, celery seed, vinegar, salt and mustard. Bring to a rolling boil. Stir in oil and bring to a rolling boil again. Pour slowly over cabbage and onions. Do not stir.
