Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, separated - 5 item
- cold water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- sifted cake flour
- cream of tartar - 3/4 tsp
How to make yellow angel food cake:
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Beat egg yolks thick and lemon colored. Add water and beat until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar, fold in dry ingredients a little at a time. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff but not dry. Fold into egg yolk batter; add vanilla.
