Strawberry freeze
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla wafer crumbs - 3/4 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- margarine
- fresh strawberries - 1 pt
How to make strawberry freeze:
Topping:1/2 c. margarine2 c. confectioners sugar2 eggs Place sour cream in mixing bowl and chill at least 30 minutes. Beat until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Continue to beat while adding sugar. Meanwhile, mash or puree strawberries in blender. Fold berries into sour cream. Spread wafer crumbs over bottom of 8-inch square pan. Cover with strawberry mixture and freeze until firm.Topping: Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Spread over frozen strawberry layer and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons wafer crumbs. Return to freezer until firmly frozen. Cut into squares to serve. Garnish with whole berries. Makes 9 servings.
