Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 5 Tbsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 6 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • yeast - 1 pkg
  • very warm water - 1/4 c
  • scalded milk - 2 c

How to make yeast rolls:

Add sugar, salt and margarine to milk. Stir and let cool. Separately, add yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/4 cup water. Stir and let stand 10 minutes. Mix together eggs, yeast and milk. Add two cups flour until smooth. Add remaining flour; cover and let rise until doubles. Make big balls. Place on greased pan. Let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
