  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 Tbsp
  • butter - 1 c
  • powdered sugar - 1 c
  • sifted flour
  • powdered sugar, sifted - 1 c
  • Add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy

How to make white sugar cookies:

Beat softened butter until creamy. Add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Stir in flour until it is almost incorporated and then sprinkle milk over dough and finish mixing. Remove dough from bowl and gather in ball. Knead briefly. Roll 1/2 at a time 1/8-inch thick and cut into shapes. Bake at 325° for 10 minutes. Edges will be lightly brown.Frosting:1 Tbsp. butter1 Tbsp. milk1 c. powdered sugar Mix butter, milk and sugar in saucepan. Heat until smooth and glossy. Immediately drizzle over cookies as it dries immediately. May tint dough or frosting.
