Vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped carrots - 1 c
- onion - 1/2 c
- green pepper - 1 c
- red pepper - 1/2 c
- cauliflower - 1 c
- can white corn - 1 item
- can small peas - 1 item
- can French beans - 1 item
How to make vegetable salad:
Drain for 2 hours, more or less, the corn, peas and beans. Mince remaining ingredients and pour oil over all vegetables. Do not stir or toss. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.Cook a dressing of sugar, vinegar, water, salt and pepper. Boil this for 1 minute. Pour over vegetables next morning. Then toss and stir.
Vegetables, keep refrigerated. This salad keeps well in refrigerator for days.
