Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 Tbsp
  • oil - 3/4 c
  • vinegar - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • celery, chopped - 1 c
  • can French-style green beans - 1 lb
  • can white corn - 1 lb
  • can small peas - 1 lb

How to make vegetable salad:

In a large bowl, combine drained corn, green beans and peas. Add onion, green pepper and celery. In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Pour over vegetables. Refrigerate in metal or glass container.

Cooked frozen white corn may be substituted for canned white corn.
