  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 Tbsp
  • egg yolks - 6 item
  • heavy cream - 2 c

How to make vanilla ice cream:

In double boiler, beat eggs and milk. Add sugar and salt. Stir and cook constantly over hot water until thick enough to coat a metal spoon. Let cool, then add cream and vanilla. Freeze in ice cream freezer.
