Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 6 item
- heavy cream - 2 c
How to make vanilla ice cream:
In double boiler, beat eggs and milk. Add sugar and salt. Stir and cook constantly over hot water until thick enough to coat a metal spoon. Let cool, then add cream and vanilla. Freeze in ice cream freezer.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Frozen desserts.
