- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- fresh turnips with tops - 1 item
- bacon or 1 1/2 c - 1/2 lb
How to make turnip greens:
Clean turnip greens thoroughly to remove any sand. Strip out heavy leaf vein. Peel turnips; cut into small cubes. Put greens, turnips and meat in saucepot (2 or 3-quart). Add 3/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Greens.
