Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- freshly ground pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chili powder - 4 tsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- cumin - 2 tsp
- diet margarine - 1 Tbsp
- garlic clove, pressed - 1 item
- ground turkey or chicken - 2 lb
- ground red pepper optional - 1/4 tsp
- kidney beans drained and rinsed - 2 cans
- beef broth defatted - 1 can
How to make turkey chili:
In Dutch oven, melt margarine, add onions and garlic. Saut?© until onions are translucent. Add ground turkey, chili powder, cumin, salt, oregano, paprika, peppers, beef broth and tomatoes. Simmer 30 minutes. Add kidney beans and simmer 10 minutes more.
