Tuna chowder
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1 qt
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chicken broth - 14 oz
- basil - 1 tsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- sherry - 1 Tbsp
- broccoli, chopped - 3 c
- fresh sliced mushrooms - 1 2
- cans light tuna, drained - 2 oz
How to make tuna chowder:
Saute broccoli, onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons butter until broccoli is crisp. Add sherry, butter, salt, basil and flour. Mix and melt. Add chicken broth. Stir in mushrooms and simmer 15 minutes. Add half and half and warm to serve.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Tuna, Chowders.
