Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- can tomato soup - 1 oz
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- cloves ground - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa
- raisins - 1 c
- nuts, chopped optional - 1/2 c
- pkg
- confectioners sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make tomato soup cake:
Cream Cheese Frosting:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla Mix ingredients for cake in order given, rinsing soup can with 2 tablespoons hot water. When mixed thoroughly, pour into 10-inch pie or square buttered pan. Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.For frosting, blend together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth. If too thick, add milk or cream.
