- fresh bread, cut in 2-inch squares - 2 c
How to make tomato pudding:
Mix tomato puree, 1/2 cup boiling water, brown sugar and salt and boil 10 minutes. Put bread in buttered casserole. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over bread. Add tomato mix. Bake 30 to 40 minutes, covered, in 300° oven. Only tomato puree works.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Northeastern U.S..
