Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- stick butter - 1 item
- cream - 1/8 c
- oatmeal - 1 c
- light brown sugar
- butter, melted - 4 Tbsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:1 c. light brown sugar4 Tbsp. butter, melted1/8 c. cream1/2 c. coconut Mix water and oatmeal. Let stand while mixing shortening, sugar and eggs. Then add oats and dry ingredients; add vanilla. Place in 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Topping: Mix all ingredients. Spread on baked cake. Put under broiler until brown and bubbly.
