Oatmeal cake

Ingredients/Components

• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 1/2 c
• coconut - 1/2 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• boiling water
• stick butter - 1 item
• cream - 1/8 c
• oatmeal - 1 c
• light brown sugar
• butter, melted - 4 Tbsp
• white sugar - 1/2 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:1 c. light brown sugar4 Tbsp. butter, melted1/8 c. cream1/2 c. coconut Mix water and oatmeal. Let stand while mixing shortening, sugar and eggs. Then add oats and dry ingredients; add vanilla. Place in 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Topping: Mix all ingredients. Spread on baked cake. Put under broiler until brown and bubbly.
