Tomato bisque
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chicken bouillon cubes - 3 item
- can tomatoes - 1 1/2
- dash of Tabasco - 1 item
- sweet basil - 3/4 tsp
- half and half or milk - 1 c
- stalks celery with leaves - 2 item
- cracked pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make tomato bisque:
Cut celery into thirds or just enough to fit into medium size saucepan. Put all ingredients (except for half and half) into saucepan; bring to a boil. Turn down heat and let simmer for 20 minutes. Place mixture in a blender and puree. Pour into saucepan with half and half and heat through. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Soups & stews, Bisques/cream soups.
