Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- basil - 1 Tbsp
- salt
- water
- can tomatoes - 1 item
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- cottage cheese - 2 c
- Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Mozzarella - 1 lb
- lasagna, cooked and drained - 8 oz
How to make lasagna:
Brown meat; drain fat. Add garlic, parsley, basil, salt, tomatoes, tomato paste and water. Simmer for 1/2 hour. Combine cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese. Add eggs, salt and pepper.Pour a thin layer of tomato mixture in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Then add a layer of noodles. Spread 1/2 of cheese mixture over noodles. Layer 1/2 of Mozzarella next. Spread tomato mixture. Repeat layers, ending with lasagna and sauce.
Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 minutes more.
