Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- flour - 2 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- water - 1 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- chopped nuts - 1 c
How to make texas sheet cake:
Frosting:4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 stick margarine1 lb. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Sift together sugar and flour. In a saucepan, melt cocoa, margarine and water. Bring to rapid boil. Add flour and sugar. Remove from stove and add buttermilk, beaten eggs, baking soda and vanilla. Mix well and bake in a greased and floured jelly roll pan for 25 minutes at 350°.Frosting: Put cocoa, milk and margarine in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add powdered sugar. Mix well. Add vanilla and chopped nuts. Beat and spread over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
