- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- cake flour or 1 3/4 c - 2 c
- Add all at once to mixture of first 6 ingredients
How to make texas chocolate cake:
Bring to a boil the butter, water and cocoa. Add all at once to mixture of first 6 ingredients. Mix well and pour in greased, oblong pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.Icing for Texas Chocolate Cake:1 lb. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped walnuts1 Tbsp. butter6 Tbsp. milk4 Tbsp. cocoa Combine powdered sugar, vanilla and walnuts.
