Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- box confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- Heat to boiling
How to make texas sheet cake:
In a large saucepan, mix butter, water and cocoa. Heat to boiling. Take off heat; add flour, sugar, salt, sour cream, baking soda and eggs. Mix well and pour into 15 x 11-inch baking pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 375°. Pour icing over warm cake.Icing:1 stick butter6 Tbsp. milk4 Tbsp. cocoa1 (1 lb.) box confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Bring to a boil in same saucepan butter, milk and cocoa.
