Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice - 6 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • olive oil - 1/2 c
  • chopped parsley - 3 c
  • bunch green onions - 1 item
  • chopped mint - 1/4 c
  • bulgur cracked wheat - 1 c
  • medium-size tomatoes - 2 item
  • romaine or leaf lettuce - 1 item

How to make tabbouleh:

Wash bulgur, place in large bowl and cover with hot water; let stand for 20 minutes. Drain thoroughly and squeeze dry with hands.

Combine with tomatoes, onion, parsley and mint in a large bowl. Beat oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper together in 1-cup measure. Pour over bulgur mixture; stir until well blended. Serve in lettuce lined salad bowl.
