Shrimp in white wine
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chicken broth - 1/4 c
- dry white wine - 1/2 c
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 1/4 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- medium shrimp, shelled and deveined
How to make shrimp in white wine:
In a wok, melt butter in 1 tablespoon olive oil over high heat until hot, swirling to coat sides of pan. Add shrimp and stir-fry until shrimp are pink and curled, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove to plate. In same wok, heat remaining 2 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Stir-fry until soft, 3 to 5 minutes. Add wine, chicken broth, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Boil over high heat until reduced by one-third, about 3 minutes. Return shrimp to wok. Cook, tossing, for 30 seconds to heat through. Add parsley and serve with rice and lightly sauteed zucchini.Prep: 15 minutes. Cook: 8 to 11 minutes. Serves 4.
