Tabbouleh salad
Ingredients/Components
- salad oil - 1/4 1/2
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- to 4 tomatoes, chopped - 3 item
- cracked wheat - 1/2 3/4
- juice of 2 to 3 lemons
- to 8 spring onions, chopped - 5 item
- to 3 bunches parsley, chopped - 2 item
- chopped mint sprigs if desired - 1 item
How to make tabbouleh salad:
Cook wheat in water for a few minutes. Squeeze out excess water. Mix all ingredients together and serve with lettuce or parboiled cabbage leaves.Note: Wheat should be prepared several hours ahead of time to serve so it will be soft.
Parsley can be chopped in food processor but be careful not to overchop. Onions can only be chopped by hand.
