- round steak - 2 lb
- flour - 1 item
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- small chopped green pepper - 1 item
- fat - 3 Tbsp
- stewed tomatoes - 1 c
- tomato juice - 1 c
- salt
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
How to make swiss steak:
Pound flour into steak. Cook onion and green pepper in fat until tender. Brown meat in fat. Add tomatoes, juice, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Cover and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
