Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 3 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- sliced onion - 1 c
- stewed tomatoes
- round steak
- salt to taste in the sauce - 1 item
How to make swiss steak:
Mix mustard, flour and salt. Pound dry ingredients into steak, covering both sides. Brown in oil on both sides. Cover meat with onion and tomatoes. Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce, salt and brown sugar over all. Cover pan and bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
