Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- water - 1 can
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- onions, chopped - 1/2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- celery, chopped - 1/2 c
- round steak - 2 lb
How to make swiss steak:
Combine flour, salt and pepper and pound into steak. In large skillet, brown steak in hot oil on both sides. Add chopped vegetables, tomatoes or soup mixture. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice or egg noodles.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
