- water - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- round steak - 2 lb
- small can tomatoes - 1 item
- carrots optional - 1 item
- potatoes optional - 1 item
How to make swiss steak:
Cut steak into medium sized pieces. Roll in flour, salt and pepper. Brown in hot grease. Arrange steak in pan or baking dish. Top with onion and green pepper. Pour tomatoes (with juice) and enough water to cover. Bake 1 hour at 350°. You can add carrots and potatoes to make a complete meal.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
