Spaghetti and meat balls
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- water - 1 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- parsley flakes - 1 item
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ground beef
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- green pepper - 1/2 item
- grated Romano cheese - 1/2 c
- cans mushrooms - 2 item
- 2 cans tomatoes
- Drain off remaining oil and add rest of ingredients
How to make spaghetti and meat balls:
Place 3/4 cup chopped onion and 2 cloves garlic in oil in deep heavy pan and cook until tender (but not brown). Drain off remaining oil and add rest of ingredients. Simmer while making meat balls. After sauce has simmered for 3 to 4 hours, remove bay leaf and serve with Romano cheese.Meat Balls:4 slices dry bread1 1/2 lb. ground beef1 tsp. oregano2 eggs parsley flakes1 clove garlic, minced1/2 c. grated Romano cheese salt and pepper Soak the 4 slices dry bread in water for 2 to 3 minutes.
