Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- canned tomatoes - 1 c
- 1 1/2 inch thick round steak
How to make swiss steak:
Mix dry mustard with flour. Dust or roll into steak. Season with salt and pepper and brown on both sides. Place in baking dish. Cover with onions, peppers, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Cover and bake at 325° to 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
