Ingredients/Components
- salt
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- oleo - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- bell pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- round steak - 2 lb
- shredded Mozzarella cheese optional - 6 oz
How to make swiss steak:
Beat steak, cut into serving pieces and salt and pepper and coat with flour. Melt oleo (large pan) and brown meat slowly. Add tomatoes; cover; simmer 1 hour. Add onion, peppers; cover and simmer 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.Optional: Top with cheese and heat until melted.
