Sweet and sour spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- can pineapple chunks - 1 oz
- Karo syrup - 1/4 c
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
- spareribs pork - 2 lb
How to make sweet and sour spareribs:
Cut spareribs into 1-inch pieces. Season with salt. Let stand 10 minutes. Brown spareribs in skillet; drain off fat. Pour vinegar over ribs. Add chopped garlic; cover and steam for 5 to 10 minutes. Add sugar, Karo syrup and soy sauce; mix well. Add pineapple chunks with syrup. Bring to boil. Just before serving, add cornstarch, diluted in small amount of water. Serve hot.
