Sweet and sour pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 item
- flour - 1 item
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- catsup - 1/3 c
- chicken broth - 1 c
- can pineapple chunks - 1 1/4
- lean pork chops - 4 item
- small green pepper, cut in rings - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour pork chops:
Sprinkle meat with salt. Dredge in flour. Brown chops in hot oil on both sides. Place chops in shallow 10-inch square casserole. Top with pineapple and green pepper rings. Combine broth, sugar, vinegar and catsup in small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium. Combine cornstarch and water; stir well. Add to chicken broth mixture, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly. Pour over chops, cover and bake at 325° for 1 hour or until done.
