Ingredients/Components

  • chopped onion - 2 c
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • Mozzarella cheese - 2 lb
  • can tomato juice - 1 oz
  • celery salt - 1 Tbsp
  • ground chuck - 2 lb
  • can crushed tomatoes - 1 item
  • chopped garlic - 3 Tbsp
  • diced bell pepper - 1 item
  • mushrooms, if desired - 2 c
  • garlic and parsley salt - 1 tsp

How to make lasagna supreme:

Brown chuck and pour off excess fat. Place tomato juice and all seasoning in a slow cooker for 3 to 4 hours. Add meat and let simmer for rest of day, adding juice and skimming grease as needed.

Cook 1 1/2 packages of noodles. Rinse with cold water. Using a shallow baking dish (13 x 9-inch) layer lasagna noodles, sauce, then cheese. Repeat. Top with parsley. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.

Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer. Serves 8 to 10.
