Sweet and sour chicken
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- oil - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- ginger - 1/4 tsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- chicken legs and breasts - 2 item
- Sauce:1 can pineapple chunks
How to make sweet and sour chicken:
Sauce:1 can pineapple chunks1 c. water1 c. sugar3 Tbsp. cornstarch3/4 c. vinegar1 Tbsp. soy sauce1/4 tsp. ginger1 chicken bouillon cube1 green pepper Wash chicken, pat dry and coat with flour. Heat oil in skillet. Brown chicken on all sides. Put into shallow baking dish. Heat oven to 350°. Drain pineapple juice. In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients, including pineapple juice (except pineapple chunks and green pepper). Bake for 1/2 hour; add pineapple and green peppers (cut into strips).
