  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • oil - 1/3 c
  • vinegar - 3/4 c
  • ginger - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • 4 oz
  • chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
  • large green pepper - 1 item
  • chicken breasts - 2 item

How to make hawaiian chicken:

Sauce:1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can sliced pineapple1 c. sugar2 Tbsp. cornstarch1 chicken bouillon cube3/4 c. vinegar1 Tbsp. soy sauce1/4 tsp. ginger1 large green pepper Wash chicken, then pat dry. Coat with flour. Heat oil in large skillet. Brown chicken. Remove to shallow roasting pan with skin sides up. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 350°.

Make sauce. Drain pineapple. Add water to syrup to make 1 1/4 cups. In medium saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, syrup, vinegar, soy, ginger and bouillon. Boil 2 minutes. Pour over chicken. Bake uncovered 30 minutes. Add pineapple and green pepper. Bake 30 minutes more or until chicken is tender.
