Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • mayonnaise - 2 c
  • green onions, chopped - 1/2 c
  • celery, thinly sliced - 1 c
  • hard-boiled eggs - 3 item
  • medium tomatoes, quartered - 2 item
  • alfalfa sprouts - 1 item
  • water chestnuts, sliced - 1 c
  • box frozen peas - 1 oz
  • bacon bits optional - 1 item
  • small head iceberg lettuce, shredded - 1 item

How to make 24 hour salad:

Layer lettuce and vegetables in a flat container. Top with mayonnaise. Combine sugar, salt and garlic powder; sprinkle over mayonnaise.

Refrigerate for 24 hours. Before serving, add chopped eggs, tomatoes and cheese.
