Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 2 c
- green onions, chopped - 1/2 c
- celery, thinly sliced - 1 c
- hard-boiled eggs - 3 item
- medium tomatoes, quartered - 2 item
- alfalfa sprouts - 1 item
- water chestnuts, sliced - 1 c
- box frozen peas - 1 oz
- bacon bits optional - 1 item
- small head iceberg lettuce, shredded - 1 item
How to make 24 hour salad:
Layer lettuce and vegetables in a flat container. Top with mayonnaise. Combine sugar, salt and garlic powder; sprinkle over mayonnaise.Refrigerate for 24 hours. Before serving, add chopped eggs, tomatoes and cheese.
