  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 Tbsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • powdered sugar - 1 c

How to make swedish heirloom cookies:

Cream shortening, sugar and salt. Blend in rest of ingredients. Mix everything together with a fork. Shape into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly. Bake at 325° for 20 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
