- milk - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- oil - 1/2 c
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- In saucepan, combine water, margarine, oil and cocoa; bring to a boil
How to make texas sheet cake:
Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; set aside. In saucepan, combine water, margarine, oil and cocoa; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add sugar; mix well. Add sifted ingredients, beating well. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Spread in a greased and floured sheet cake pan (10 x 14 x 1-inch). Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.Frosting:1 stick margarine1/4 c. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 lb. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Bring margarine, cocoa and milk to a boil; remove from heat.
