  • shortening - 1 c
  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • sifted flour
  • cream of tartar - 2 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp

How to make sugar cookies:

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; stir into mixture. Form dough into balls about the size of walnuts. Roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.
