Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/4 c
  • all-purpose flour - 3 c

How to make sour cream pound cake:

Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each egg. Add flour and sour cream alternately. Mix well. Add oil and vanilla; mix until batter is well blended (3 minutes on medium speed). Pour into tube pan.

Bake at 275° for 2 hours or until golden brown and inserted toothpick comes out clean. Can be baked in 2 loaf pans.
