  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • cooking oil - 1 c
  • hot water - 1 3
  • flour plain - 3 c
  • cocoa unsweetened - 3/4 c
  • hot coffee or water - 1 c
  • Prepare pan and set aside

How to make chocolate cake:

Filling:1/4 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 egg1/2 c. coconut1 c. chocolate chips1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened Grease and lightly flour a 10-inch tube pan. Prepare pan and set aside. In a large mixer bowl, combine sugar, oil and eggs. Beat 1 minute at high speed. Add remaining ingredients except filling and beat 3 minutes on medium. By hand, stir in nuts. Pour half the batter into pan. Carefully spoon prepared filling over batter. Top with remaining batter. Bake at 350° for 70 to 75 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Remove and cool completely. Drizzle with glaze.Glaze:1 c. powdered sugar3 Tbsp. cocoa2 Tbsp. butter2 tsp. vanilla1 to 3 Tbsp. hot water Combine ingredients.

Filling: In small mixer bowl, beat sugar, vanilla, cream cheese and egg until smooth. Stir in cocoa and chocolate chips.
