Stuffed pizza



  • cold water - 3/4 c
  • ground beef - 1/2 lb
  • Italian sausage - 1/2 lb
  • Bisquick baking mix
  • jar pizza sauce - 1 1/2
  • your favorite pizza toppings - 1 item
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese 12 oz - 3 c

How to make stuffed pizza:

Heat oven to 450°. Grease rectangular baking dish, 13 x 9 x 2-inch. Cook and stir sausage and ground beef until brown. Drain; set aside. Mix baking mix and water until dough forms. Divide into 2 parts, one slightly larger. On surface dusted with baking mix, roll large portion of dough into rectangle, 16 x 14-inch. Fold into thirds. Place in dish; unfold. Press on bottom and up sides of dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheese. Cover with 3/4 cup of the pizza sauce. Add meat mixture and other toppings. Cover with 1 1/2 cups of the cheese. Roll remaining dough into rectangle, 13 x 9-inch. Fold into thirds. Place over cheese in dish. Unfold. Press bottom and top crust edges together to seal. Make small slits in top crust. Spread crust with remaining pizza sauce and cheese. Bake 22 to 25 minutes or until crust is golden. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
