Ingredients/Components

  • large mushrooms 8 to 10 - 1/2 lb
  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • minced onion - 1/2 c
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • oregano leaves - 1/4 tsp
  • bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c

How to make stuffed mushrooms:

Wash mushrooms and pat dry. Remove and chop stems. Set mushroom caps aside. Heat butter over slow to medium heat and cook mushroom stems, onions and next four ingredients until onion is tender. Stir in bread crumbs and cheese. Spoon mixture into mushroom caps. Place, stuffed side up, on broiling sheet and broil until mushrooms are tender, about 8 minutes.
