Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • oregano - 1/4 tsp
  • minced onion - 1/2 c
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • large mushrooms - 1/2 lb
  • seasoned bread crumbs - 1/2 c

How to make stuffed mushrooms:

Thirty minutes before serving, preheat broiler. Remove mushroom stems and finely chop. Reserve mushroom caps. In 2-quart saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Cook mushroom stems, onions and next 4 ingredients until onion is tender (about 5 minutes), stirring occasionally. Stir in bread crumbs and cheese.

Spoon mixture into mushroom caps. Place caps, stuffed side up, on tray in broiler. Broil 8 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
